The licence

When you buy Roost you get a personal licence to use it on Macs you own or use, with every update released in the first year after your purchase. The version you have keeps working after that year. Later updates may be offered as a paid upgrade.

Price

Roost is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The first 100 licences cost $29; after that the price is $49. Prices are in US dollars, and tax is added at checkout where it applies.

Free trial

Roost is free for 14 days with every feature unlocked. You don’t need a card or an account. When the trial ends, buy a licence to keep using it. Your mail stays on your Mac either way.

Payment and refunds

Orders are processed by Polar, our merchant of record, which handles payment, tax and invoices. Refunds follow Polar’s refund policy; if Roost isn’t right for you, email us and we’ll help. Refunded licences are deactivated.

Fair use

Don’t share, resell or publish your licence key. Don’t try to bypass licensing or redistribute the app.

Your mail accounts

Roost works with your accounts through your providers’ own servers. You’re responsible for following your providers’ terms. Roost can’t recover mail a provider deletes.

No warranty

Roost is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Keep your own backups of important mail. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Roost.

Changes

We may update these terms. Changes don’t take away rights you already have under the version you bought.
